FAQ - For Food Businesses
What is the Waste Not Want Not app?
The Waste Not Want Not (WNWN) app is a digital solution that helps food vendors and retailers connect with local consumers in real time for the purpose of selling surplus time-sensitive food items, presented as discounted Deals of the Day, providing mutual benefit to both parties.
How does the WNWN app work?
Business owners and managers are already busy enough. That’s why we designed Waste Not Want Not to be as simple and easy as possible. Here’s how it works.
-
Register Your Business
Registering your business with Waste Not Want Not is a straightforward process. To get started, download the app and then click “Register Your Business” to submit some basic information. We will then contact you to request additional information as needed to finish verifying and setting up your business on the WNWN platform. -
Get To Know the WNWN Platform
Once setup has been completed, you and/or your authorized employees receive free training and support to ensure that you understand our Terms of Use, know how to create and post Deals of the Day, and are comfortable using the WNWN platform. -
Begin Offering Deals of the Day
Build your catalog of deals and start posting Deals of the Day based on available unsold supply. Local consumers can see your posted deals and can make purchases within the app. You will be notified whenever this happens. When customers come during the allotted time frame, they simply show their confirmation to pick up their orders. Payment is handled through the app. -
Reduce Your Surplus and Get Paid
Perishable food items get sold as Deals of the Day instead of expiring and getting hauled off as garbage. Waste Not Want Not handles all financial transactions, pays taxes, deducts its fee, and pays the seller within 10 business days.
